Reflections of Caritas

"Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths.” – Luke 3:4

I have many faults and shortcomings. One of them is a tendency to be a bit disorganized. Well, perhaps it would be more accurate to say that at times I can be plain messy.

"Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy… from the anxieties of daily life.”

– Luke 21:34

Everyone is busy. You are busy. I am busy. We are all busy! But what exactly are we all so busy doing? Sending emails, running errands, doing chores, working, studying, you name it.

The courage of Jesus inspires me. He didn’t pander to the crowds. He didn’t apologize when His teachings offended someone. He didn’t acquiesce to power or money in order to save His own skin. He simply spoke the Truth, even when it got Him into trouble.

"But the wise shall shine brightly like the splendor of the firmament, and those who lead the many to justice shall be like the stars forever.”  – Daniel 12:3

Ugh, I should have known better! Why am I such a dummy?!
