"The Mystery of Our God"-SOLEMNITY OF THE HOLY TRINITY.

Gospel: Jn 3:16- 18.

Dear friends,

Today's solemnity invites us to live in the awareness of the presence of the truine God within us; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Trinity is the greatest mystery of our faith, namely, that there are three divine persons, sharing the same divine nature in one God.

The more we contemplate and pray about the reality and presence of the Trinity in our lives, the more of itself will be revealed to us. Through the Trinity, God creates and loves us, Jesus liberates and saves us and the spirit encourages and strengthens Us. The Trinity is a community of love and life that we are invited to be part and share.
This communion within God's own self gives us a glimpse into the very heart of God and knowing that deep contentedness describes well the world in which we live. This speaks to the longing in our own hearts as we are separated from others. Humans love to get together. We are in fact, beings in communion we were created to be. People always find ways to stay connected. Our desire to be united comes from a deep longing which is in the very heart of the Holy Trinity. Jesus put it this way; love God with all your heart , mind, soul and strength and love your neighbor as your self. This is that for which we were created: love upwards towards God and outwards towards mankind. When we come to love God more, we get that heart for other people God has. This love of God draws us to other people. Loving other people fully means seeing them as God sees them and so loving people can also draw us to God. It is this communion for which we were created.

The Trinity offers us a model of sharing, belonging and community. It also challenges our individualism . The Trinity asks to be mindful of our responsibilities to those around us in our families, our neighborhood, in our needy children and people all over the world.

For us Christians, Trinity is not an abstract doctrine instead, it is a reality which is to be believed and lived through. We pray to the Trinity but it is also a community, the communion of three in one, the family in whose image we build up our own human community.
